The monument is easy to find at one of the corners of Merrion Square. The sculpture was unveiled in 1997 and was designed and made by Danny Osborne. The two accompanying sculptures are a torso of Dionysus and Constance Lloyd, Wilde's mother. The pillars they are installed upon are inscribed with some of Oscar's quotes.
